Vicki - Awesome, awesome report! I laughed so hard at the donkey story! You certainly do have an artist's eye when it comes to takng pictures (and I looked at ALL of 'em)! I just LOVE the ones of all the colorful buildings and shutters! Thanks so much for posting everything... I'm still struggling to get my photos up and my report finished, I don't know how you did it so fast!

I loved your trip report and especially your photos! What camera do you use? How did you learn to take such beautiful pictures?

Vicki:

Great trip report and pictures. You look like a model in a couple of them and could see them on the cover of magazines. All of the pictures that you posted make me hope the next 9 days go by quickly. My wife and I are leaving June 13 for our 4th anniversary trip to St. John. Take care and God bless.

WHAT A REPORT!

I thought I knew something about shooting photos, but I'm not even close to you. I bought our Rebel XTi in STT a few days before you came down. I'm still learning what it can do. The next time you head to STJ I'd like to follow you around to learn more. BTW, you want to see my fish?

JIMG20 - You and me both! I bought my Rebel 2 days before I left. Not the smartest thing to do. I didn't even have time to read the manual and I had no lens but the one it came with. Thank goodness it's a very smart camera! Are you loving yours as much as I am loving mine? It was a good SLR choice for me because it's very small and lightweight and pretty easy to use.

FABULOUS! I LOVE reading your trip reports girlie! I'm always guaranteed a good laugh. What is is about you and sharks? Well I have to say you are a very brave soul, first for traveling down all by your cute little self and second for swimming with a shark (I see you didn't rip your snorkel off to use as a weapon this time), and third for chasing down the "jackass."

Really, really great trip report! I recognize a similar warped sense of humor in you and it makes me laugh. Too funny about OD'ing on people time. That's totally me when I'm wanting some "me" time but as for the 25 year old's attention; being 38 myself, I'd take that as a compliment.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!!!

Working too much right now (aaaaaahh!) and I popped in for a quick fix. I read about four paragraphs and it was great! I need to clear my head later and read it all at once. FUNfunFUNfun

I think I'll print it out right now and read it on the metro tomorrow. 16 pages, not including comments!!!

Thanks VickiH! I need my support group.

Cheers, RickG

We bought our Rebel at Boolshons (sp?) on Main Street in CA on our second day. We've owned Canons for well over 30 years. We still have my wife's FTb in addition to several newer models. We didn't bring our EOS long lens limiting what we could do. I think taking it to a such a picturesque location to practice and learn is the perfect way to start with a new camera. I doubt the forum is all that interested in our cameras. We'll have to PM to talk about more details.

Vicky, like it's been said over and over, great report, fabulous pics and thank you, thank you for taking the time. I love your writing style and your sense of humor. The jackass escapade was too funny.

Kudos to you for taking your 'me' time. You've inspired alot of us girls. I for one would love to incorporate some me time into a future trip.

So, when ya' going back?
