Anthony, you know I/we love your site BUT, Whenever the Bermuda add on the right side is up and running, it slows down the flow from frame to frame, to the point that I get frustrated and log off. Any way to change the feed on that so that it doesn't update and cause the pause for us while we are trying to enjoy the site?
OR...any chance of offering an "add free" version of your forum for a fee? I do that with my weather website (wunderground) and it rocks. For a few bucks a year, I don't have to deal with the ads.
Just a thought.

It happens to me, too.
It's not a modem issue, as we use a high-speed DSL connection. It's not a function of too little RAM...my laptop has 2 g of RAM.
Beats me.

Are you all running a firewall? Set your pop-up blocking to medium. Disable mobile code control. Log back on. See if that makes a difference.

No firewall in our case(s); we have MACs and don't need firewalls/pop up blocking, etc...
Also, this situatin is fairly new, only since the Bermuda ad was added.

Hmmm. It may be something local to your machine.
I have a Mac and am looking at the Bermuda ad and everything seems pretty normal.

I only have problems with it once in awhile...not a major bother.
As for Macs...I love 'em. I outfitted my entire law office with them. As a result, the IT guy is one person who is NOT on our payroll.

Same problem with me at home (cable) and work (T-1) on a PC.
Help, Anthony! Welcome back wherever you were without a computer.

i love bermuda but the ad just freezes up my mac G4 + G5 for a couple of seconds. both have lots of RAM.
anthony, get bermuda and bahamas to create static ads instead. the animation-slow-down-computer is gonna be a traffic killer.
