Mary Beth

I am so excited for you, Charlie, your upcoming wedding, and your honeymoon on STJ!

The BEST thing you've planned is "NOTHING". I think you're doing the right thing in waiting until you get to the Island and see what you feel like doing. I'm sure that after all the wedding festivities you two will be ready to kick back. You picked the right place to do it! And that beautiful villa you've chosen, how perfect!

Oh, and the view you will have from Bongo Bongo.......don't forget to leave the villa sometime and check out the beaches!

Looking forward to pics and trip reports. And BEST WISHES for a wonderful life together! :D

MaryBeth....St John is the best place for a relaxing honeymoon! And Bongo Bongo looks awesome (as we all know from the blog). They have total power and the hottub is IN!! I'm extremely jealous.....

I commend you for not overplanning. It must have taken a lot of strength. I think that sometimes overplanning can cause a lot of stress and who needs stress on an island paradise?!!

As I understand, this is a slow time of year so you should be able, if the mood strikes you, wake up in the morning and decide to book a daysail!

I have @ 2 1/2 months to go. -sign-

It’s going to be a magical time for you. Memories that will never be forgotten. Congrads again – enjoy the beauty that God gave us – but most of all, fill your hearts with the beauty and knowledge that you have found your soul-mate.

I am green with envy! I wished I could be there to see the look on your face when you get to Bongo Bongo. I think I said "WOW" about fifty times in five minutes.

The views...spectacular. The furniture...exquisite. Showers...amazing. The pool is awesome and Josephine is a pleasure to talk to.

Have a wonderful time.

I'm pretty well packed. Just a few last minute things to throw in on Sunday - like my lip gloss! :)
Just got to get over the wedding hump on Saturday. Things are in high gear here now as some of our out of town guests have started to arrive.

Next time you hear from me will likely be Live from Bongo Bongo!

Oh – I hear new word for Jimmy Buffet’s song:
But theres booze in the blender
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on

Or should it be:
But theres beans in the grinder
And soon it will render
That Latté that helps me hang on

You’re going to be a beautiful bride. Your happiness will add to the charm that St. John give to all of us. Congrads again and don’t send too many “Live Report” – spend the time with family, friends and your new hubby.

Anybody remember my story for a year+ ago?
Well here I am 2 weeks out again. I can still recall, with vivid memory, most of the details of my last trip. I'm sure that hanging around this place helps that :)
We got through the wedding, the honeymoon and made it all the way to the one year anniversary! And some people said it wouldn't last
Now we're just living. Can't say it's always easy but heck we're doing it and having as much fun along the way as humanly possible!

While we don't leave for 2 weeks our vacation really starts in one week so I'm feeling the time crunch now. After today 5 more working days! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!
Next Saturday we head to Saratoga to drop off my Father in Law for Thanksgiving with my Sister in Law's family. Then Charlie and I continue on to Boston to close out this leg of the Bruce tour. Lucky for me Bruce is heading over to Europe while I'm on St. John so I won't be "missing" anything! Two nights with Bruce then off to St. John - life ain't all bad!
We are home on Wednesday which will give me just enough time to do my interior holiday decorating which I would normally do the day after Thanksgiving :)
Thursday we will stuff ourselves with turkey, provided my sister actually GETS a turkey to the table, that remains to be seen! Then a night of Trytophan induced sleep and STJ here we come!!!!!!

We are hooking up with some fellow forumites in the Charlotte airport for the 2nd leg of the trip and then we are off in a private van and water taxi!

Can't wait for those 9 days in paradise. At the present I don't see a STJ trip on my 2008 calendar so that doesn't make me happy but can't really think about that right now.

As usual, thanks to everyone here who has helped me in planning this trip and kept me entertained with their own trips, some multiple times since I have been there - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE :) And thanks to Becky for a whole load of information on Boston. Appreciate everyone!

And here it is.....a picture of my spare room. We are getting ready!
