Reality Bites

Post by AnyTing »

Well, I am back at work today, and reality sucks. Got in last night around midnight and "real life" hit me full in the face bright and early this morning! Oh well, what are you going to do? I'll just start planning another trip....

Everything about the trip was great. The best part was the time I spent by myself. Ladies.....you HAVE to do this. I can promise you this won't be the last time I do. Now that I know how great it is, I'll be heading down solo again!

I met lots of forum folks down there (it helps to make friends when you have your big mug plastered at the top of the forum.....) and everyone was just great. Got to spend some time with Obsessed and loved her! We had a good time while I was there and I know she's STILL having a good time.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I think I broke a record for number of photos taken in one trip, but I'll do my best to get some reports and pics up as soon as I can.

Now....to go look for some dates in December or January.... :D

Welcome back, Vicki. I'm glad that you had a great trip and got to meet some forum friends. We got back last Wednesday and I'm still going through vacation withdrawal too, and ready to plan our next one! I'm looking forward to seeing your pics!

Hi Vicki
I'm thinking a solo trip might be what the doctor ordered. It would be different I'm the planner and caretaker for every one just some alone time I think would be great. Sorry you had to come back to reality but it will just make the next trip better.

Hi Vicki,
Regretfully, I guess I'm too old and dependent for a solo trip....but I'm so glad it worked for you. :) Sounds like it's just what the doctor ordered. I will look forward to your report and pics....mia

Good to hear about the alone time. It's always good to do a quick life assessment over a big rum drink.

Alone time is so very special. I usually spend a month on STJ in the summer-2 weeks alone and then my husband comes down and we sail for 2 weeks. I love being with him and our time together but my time there alone is like a retreat for me. Besides you are never really alone there are so many friends to make and see (if you want to).
Mia: You are never too old!!
Vickie: so glad that you had a wonderful time and I look forward to your TR.

I missed you Vicki! Though I am sure you aren't happy to be back, I can't wait for your report! I am so glad you were brave and had a great time. Maybe I'll figure out a way to do that front end alone time trip extension sometime!

Welcome back. You'll be fine once you get another trip in the works. I can't wait to see your photos. Whenever my husband wants to show me his pics, I always ask him if they're as good as Vicki's photos. Ali~

May I ask where do you stay when you go it alone?
Coconut Coast?
I know a villa would be pretty $$ for one person.

Vicki - Welcome back. So glad you took the leap and got your "alone time"! It sounds like a wonderful thing to do! Sorry you had to go back to your dreary job! At least I came back to a NEW job that I love! Makes it not so bad somehow! :D
