Wow Seanile, I learned about sea snakes from the old TV show China Beach. I'm going to have to get my globe dusted off and find these places I do not want to ever visit. :lol

I'm pretty woosie about lakes with snakes. I'm going to have bad dreams about snakes and water, I can just tell.

I used to snorkel at the southern tip of Taiwan at a place call O Luanpi when we lived there in the early '70's. This is where the China Sea meets the Pacific.

I was out snorkeling one time with a friend and we looked down and there were four snakes that were orange and white swimming towards us. I had always heard that in that area there was only one type of snake that was NON-poisonous and not wanting to hang around, I swam towards the beach faster than I've ever swam, before and since. My friend took off towards his brother who was on a surf board out past the break.

Things memories are made of!
