Kiddel Bay

We went to Kiddel about eight days ago and had good snorkel. Went today and access was closed off by a "Private Property" barrier. Surprise!

whoa..... what? someone was /is building a huge house out there-- but .... ?

actually -- some of the land bordering the bay is not NPS land.... hmmmm not cool at all though

apparently there is a dispute about public versus private access and a resident of the area is not happy that kayak rental groups and commercial dive groups are using the access. (should ad this is coconut telegraph ... so.... interpret with caution)

i remember about 25 yrs ago being shown this place with a caveat..."this is kinda of a locals beach and if i came back and there were already someone there, to come back some other time". The more the people the less the paradise is often true.
