Foxy's vs. Foxy's Taboo

Post by flip-flop »

Can someone enlighten me on the difference? I've been to the original on Jost. Is the other on Jost too? I could google but I am too lazy!

Hey Flip Flop - Foxy's Taboo is also on Jost, but in Diamond Cay which is on the east end not far from the bubbly pool. Foxy''s and Foxy's Taboo are probably about a mile apart as the crow flies...

flip flop,
Check out b-v-i.com for some good information. I think it is easier to get to the east side of the island by boat.
Going "home" again October 26th!

Foxy's Taboo has a nice cement pier and is usually sheltered from the swells The only things out there are Taboo and the bubbly pool. This is on the Eastern end of the island, the farthest from STJ and STT.

Foxy's is in Great Harbor, the main village on Jost. There are some other restaurants there and some interesting things to see walking around. There is a pier on the West side of the bay and a dinghy dock at Foxy's. It is in the center of the island on the South side.

White Bay, of Soggy Dollar fame, is on SouthWest side of the island, closest to STJ and STT. If you look at Jost from STJ White Bay is the leftmost strand of white sand. There is Seddy's Peace & Love, Gertrude's, Sandcastle/Soggy Dollar and then over a short trail you have Ivan's of Kenny C's No Shoes No Shirt No Problem fame.

We've done day trips to all three spots. I would rank them in order of favorite White Bay, Foxy's Taboo, and Great Harbor.

Cheers, RickG

Taboo is run by Foxy's daughter. We had a great lunch there.

White Bay sounds like a good idea. We did the regular Foxy's and I liked it but there wasn't all that much to it. I got the sense it was more an evening thing. Still, worth seeing!

Thanks for the advice.
