Trying to figure out logistics of rental car / villa check in. We arrive on STT at 3:30 - hoping to make the 5 Red Hook to STJ. Any thoughts?? Thanks! 38 DAYS!!!

Maybe ! If your flight is on time and there is no traffic you probably will however if you are late arriving, have checked baggage and arrive on a heavy cruise ship day and if your driver stops at other locations along the way maybe not (also the route your taxi driver takes to RH will be a factor)

Pia -- that's exactly what I was thinking. So....next plan is to adopt island time, have a drink at the airport while waiting for luggage and hit the 6. I think no worries!!

I don't know whether we were just lucky or what, but our luggage came out stunningly fast this trip. Arrived at 1:30 and made the 3:00 ferry. Even made a stop on the way for a local guy.

I have to consciously remind myself to just accept Island Time when I'm there. Each hour of vacation is so precious I hate to waste most of one in a ferry terminal. I've pretty much learned just to write off travel day, and if things go well it's just a bonus. So we started out with a bonus hour this time.

Traffic gets really backed up starting around 3:30pm/4pm (in my experience)
