Sold out flights?

I have been playing the waiting game for our flights in March. The last 2 years we purchased on Christmas with a short price drop. This year, I have not seen that.
Fast forward- our trip is in 6 weeks. I am seeing a ton of sold out flights by american, united, etc. Does anyone know if they will add more flights since some are now sold out?

Yikers, that is scary! We canceled our Southwest/Jet Blue flights for our upcoming trip (points and cash go right back into your travel accounts) and rebooked with Delta a few weeks ago when Jet Blue moved our flight from SJU to STT to late afternoon. The original flights would have gotten us to STT to late to catch a ferry to Tortola.

We just booked tickets for a late March trip and paid pretty darn high prices, second highest ever. But, by booking one-way tickets on different airlines we were able to save about $450. Wednesday travel is still pretty reasonable, but not workable for us this time. We're doing Friday to Sunday to fit in a couple of extra days.

Pam, I don't know your dates, but did you check us air? They have some great times out of Portland to STT. We flew them on our trip and were very happy! Not sure when you are traveling in March but I just entered some dates on the Jet Blue website and there were tickets available..pricey but available....
