Where can we pick up food for lunch for the NP Reef Bay Hike

Post by northerngal »

Is there anything open early in Cruz Bay that we can grab something for lunch on the Reef Bay Hike? We are staying in coral bay so we can't just grab something there the night before.....can we? Is there someplace there we can get something?

North Shore Deli (used to be Deli Grotto) recently opened and I found this online about their hours:
Yes we do breakfast from 7-11 Monday thru Saturday and 8-11 on Sunday.

In Coral Bay you can pick something up at Pickles Deli for lunch the next day. I will not recommend them if you are in a rush. The couple times we have used them they were most certanly on island time. Sorry, I don't know their hours. They do serve breakfast. They are closed on Tuesdays. Their phone is
340-693-5140. The website with menus are found here;

Hi northerngal:

We've used Deli Grotto for sandwiches to bring with us on our 'dinghy days' and they were great. Hopefully the new place is just as good.

Can you tell me how you're doing the Reef Bay Hike? Are you hiking both ways or just hiking down and catching a boat?

We're staying in Coral Bay for our next trip and would like to do the Reef Bay hike. Any advice welcome! Thanks!

Baked in the Sun opens early and has yummy food- both breakfast sandwiches or lunch.

I'm with ERL - love Baked in the Sun. If you exit the roundabout on the first road clockwise after the exit that turns into Centerline it's down just a few buildings on the left. There lemon bars are my favorite and the sandwiches are really good as well.

If you order from Pickles, call ahead and it will be ready when you get there.

North Side Deli at Mongoose is the closest to where the ranger led Reef Bay hike meets.

Thanks! We will scope it out before we go!
Chicagon...we are taking the ranger led hike down and the boat back, as long as the weather allows the boat. I'll let you know how it goes.
