Longview villa questions
Longview villa questions
Anyone who has stayed here would love to get your opinions. Specifically was the great room comfortable enough to cook and hang out in at night ( ac is just in bedrooms ) also how was the parking we will only have one 4dr jeep so cant imagine an issue. How was outdoor shower by pool?
Thanks any feedback or info appreciated.

Re: Longview villa questions
My wife and I have stayed at Longview twice (2012 and 2013) and we're returning again in August. I'll try to answer your questions, and feel free to ask any other questions as well.
The great room is comfortable for us with the ceiling fans running at a good clip. There is good cross-ventilation through the room and the double porches help keep the direct sun off the windows, so it doesn't get all that hot.
The parking area is very large and flat. Plenty of room to park easily and turn around without any hassle at all.
The shower by the pool is open and exposed to the steps that lead up from the driveway. It's perfect for rinsing off after returning from the beach, but it's not really suitable for a proper shower sans clothes.
Any other questions, feel free to ask. As you can tell, we really like the place since we're returning for our 3rd consecutive stay.

Re: Longview villa questions
Thanks Charlie,
I think this is the perfect place for our next trip to StJ.
We will be taking my parents for their first trip and I want them to be happy.

Re: Longview villa questions
It's a great villa for the price, in my opinion. If your parents are OK with stairs, they should be fine. But the pool is on the lower level with the smaller bedroom and bath, and you have to climb the outdoor stairs to get to the living/dining/master bedroom. The tiled stairs can get slick when it rains. Just FYI.
There's a path from the house down to the rocky beach at Hart Bay. It's a fairly easy trip down and back if you're in reasonable shape and OK on a typical trail. Some spots are a little tricky, but nothing terribly challenging.

I thought I saw a trail on google earth, so exciting! My parents are in great shape so no concerns there. I plan on giving them the master unless they want the pool room.
I agree with you , it's a beautiful property, convenient location and affordable. I also like the fact that st john market is right in the way.
Thanks again for the info.
