Need a room for two for one night!

Post by tropicdawg »

Well the good news is I will have one day more on STJ than I originally thought but the bad news, well the twist cuz its not really bad, is that my villa rental starts on June 6 and my flight arrives mid-day June 5. The villa is booked until we take over on the 6th so I am in need of one night's lodging on STJ. Any recommendations? We have done the first night on STT in years past but I would rather just get on to STJ.

Unless you want to stay at Caneel, I don't think it's do- able.there was a place where they had a courtyard restaurant, the name escapes me. I believe they had rooms for rent for 1 night in there.

If you want something pretty basic there’s the Inn at Tamarind Court:

Another option is the Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel:

The On St. John guys recently did a post on the latter:

Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel is wonderful for a few nights! Short walk from ferry dock and very convenient to walk around Cruz Bay. It's across the street from Lime Inn. Owners are very nice and helpful. We stayed there two nights in December. Walked to Lind Point Trail to Honeymoon and Salomon beaches.

St. John Inn is another option.

St. Thomas is another option. We like to stay with Ronnie at Crystal Palace. He includes airport transfers, so you save on cab fare. Nice place, my daughers love it.

Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel...for sure ! We stayed there for 2 nights last June before being able to get into our Villa. One of the couples joining us later ...stayed for 1 night . Small rooms, but super nice and clean ! Good price as well. Breakfast on the covered porch is included. Can't beat the owner's for being attentive and helpful in every way ! We would never hesitate to stay there again and again !! :D

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. St. John Guest Suites has a three night minimum. Cruz Bay Boutique was booked for our date. We have a room confirmed at Tamarind Inn. As we are Coral Bay people, this will be our first time staying on the Cruz Bay side of the island. Looking forward to trying something different .

Tamarind Court is where we usually end up. It's clean, convenient and easy in/out. I needed earplugs during one stay when the up neighbors started their weekend music at 7AM.

Gallows Point Resort has no minimum stay and you can walk to Cruz Bay in 5 minutes, and it's a little quieter than being right in town.
