Just booked flights to go down June 7 - 15 used points and only cost $20 !
Can't beat that.

How many points did you have? Seems like it takes a ton to make a difference.

75,000 miles (plus $10 taxes/fees) for standard award round trip from EWR to STT. Saver award is 35,000 miles round trip (although they IMO are very limited and difficult to find).

I was able to get supersaver 35,000 +$10 round trip per person

We used points this year for ours and paid a little over 40$, payed full price for daughter and her husband's tickets. Our card is no longer doing points. May change cards. It did take us a couple of years and rehabbing a house to collect enough points.
