A question about PMs

Post by michigan girls »

I was just sending out some PM replies tonight, and I noticed I have 3 messages in my "outbox". Normally after I send a message it shows up in sent messages, not outbox. So I'm wondering if these messages never went through? It would explain why I never got a response that I was expecting from one several months ago I guess. Does anyone know?

I did PM Anthony asking him this, but now that one is sitting in my outbox too :?

I have had the same thing happen to me. Most hang in the outbox for up to 24 hours. However, I had one message that never sent. I didn't discover it until maybe a week after I sent it. Not sure what the problem is. Maybe Anthony can chime in.

LOL, no I think I have that covered.

I think I figured it out though. I think they stay there until the person you sent them to is online. I looked again at the one sent months ago, then looked at that person's profile. They have not been online since I sent that message. But 2 I sent tonight to people who were online went into the sent folder.

That's my genius take on how it works anyway

Messages stay in the Outbox until their recipient reads them.

I haven't sent a PM for awhile and I don't know if this is still true but it used to be that if you left the subject line blank it wouldn't work. I could be like 5+ years behind on this though
