STJ news articles

I recommend to all the forum members that they bookmark, register, support and occasionally take the time to read the "Tradewinds" the STJ newspaper.
The 1st 3 articles today for instance cover the possibility of Coral Bay gas station, the USCG inspection of the new ferries, and the negotiation of a new lease for Caneel Bay. These are often topics of speculation on the forum and the paper online is a fairly unbiased source of reporting information.
I have posted links to specific articles in the past and have always wondered if the many STJ-centric forumites here are aware of this invaluable publication.
I have no vested interest in any way with the paper as a disclaimer but it is certainly on my daily reading list as the articles are updated over the course of each week.
The Caneel Bay lease article is particularly interesting and will involve US Congressional participation and contacting your state Congressperson with your personal opinion could sway this one way or another when it comes to the floor.

The Tradewinds site is one I visit regularly. The new (Cruz Bay) gas station saga is of particular interest to me because I used to do that sort of legal work.

I've been reading Tradewinds for years and have had an account since they started requiring one to read the full length articles. Love it!

I try to read it or check it out a few times a week. Great information. Just wish things moved a little faster with the new ferry boats!

I check Tradewinds along with St. John Source, Virgin Island News and News of St. John most mornings. Obsessive? Nah. My excuse is that I'm webmaster for the Sunset Ridge Villas Homeowners Association website and at least once a month I like to post a news article about STJ. I always attribute my sources and provide links to them. I think all of them are invaluable but Tradewinds is my favorite also.

You think the new ferries will be in service when I arrive this coming Saturday? Nah, me either.

I read them on my lunch to. While not a resident, it's still important to me to know what is going on with my favorite place.
