Question about the trail to Solomon ... is it feasible to bring chairs/cooler for a beach day or is it a backpack only kind of hike?
Honeymoon has a rental facility that has chaise lounges if you want to rent them. I don't know the exact price but I don't think it was very expensive.

I agree with 54B. We made the mistake of loading up on chairs and a packed cooler on our first Solomon trip and that didn't work out too well. A backpack containing Deli Grotto sandwiches, a few bottles of water, your snorkeling gear and you should be all set.

I would add that you should take your time and enjoy the hike. And there's nothing like heading down towards the beach, seeing the gorgeous water, and jumping right in...!! ENJOY!! 8)
