Caneel Hill hike
Caneel Hill hike
We haven't done much hiking because most of our trips are in July and included my lazy sons.
I am bringing my cousins down in early March and are looking for some moderate hikes with amazing views. Can anyone tell me approx. how long it takes to hike up to viewing platform and back?
I also plan on taking them on the Ram Head hike. Other suggestions are welcome!

Hike down the Reef Bay trail and then take the Lamshur spur over to Lamshur Bay. Have someone pick you up there as do not to make the hike back. Also hike up to the ruins at the end of Leinster . Also Drunk Bay. Just my $.02 worth

Depending how fast you like to hike it is about 25 minutes to walk to the platform from the parking lot at the North Shore Road. The platform view is very nice and there is usually a breeze to cool you off. My wife and I try to minimize our trips to Cruz Bay but we always make time for this hike.

Yes, the easiest way to get to the top of Caneel Hill is to access the trail directly across the street from the Virgin Islands National Park sign on the Northshore Road just outside of Cruz Bay. The platform at the top offers a beautiful 360 degree view.
My other "favorite hike" is Ram Head. Love it, love it, love it. Sunsets are great there, but it's also nice in the day. Great views along the way and definitely at the end.
Although the Reef Bay hike gets a lot of mention, it isn't that great for views. The interesting thing about the Reef Bay hike is the ruins, petroglyphs, the old Estate House, and the Par Force ruins.

Thanks! Caneel Hill and Ram Head are on the itinerary! We only have 4 full days so shorter hikes are what we are looking for. And there are just the 3 of us so no one else to come pick us up. I definitely plan on doing Reef Bay when I come back in July with my husband.
