Calabash Boom market

Post by michigan girls »

I am considering skipping our stop at Starfish this year and just doing our grocery shopping here as it is so close to where we are staying.

Our staples would be water, ice, chicken breast, milk, beer and rum. Also we like to pick up a decent loaf of bread and some lunch meat.

Thoughts?

We were just there in November and from what I remember they had all of those items. If not Love City Market would and I'm pretty sure Pickles sells meat by the pound

We stopped in at Calabash Market on our way back from Lameshur. We found it clean and organized with most everything you might need. We ended up picking up lettuce, avacado, tomato, some fruit and a couple other items. Produce was OK for island standards. We shopped the nice wine selection but opted to go elsewhere for the wine that we wanted. Nice staff prices are definately equal or better than Lily's market. Selection, orginazation and appearance of product was better than LCMM. Parking is OK but spaces are just long enough for a jeep to pull in and have the bumper off the roadway.
I would suggest that you give them a try. We still prefer LCMM on the Coral Bay side, Dolphin and Starfish on the Cruz Bay side are still our stock up places.
