Aqua Gem Villa

I really liked Aqua Gem. I think it would be perfect for a family, one couple, or a ladies trip (which we were). I would not like it for 2 couples because the bedrooms are very close and share a wall. I think 2 couples would feel it lacked a little privacy. The two king bedrooms are downstairs. They have Lilly Pulitzer linens and the AC works well. Both have sliding doors out to the pool. I would feel safe with my kids because the doors have safety locks. A interior spiral staircase leads upstairs and there is also an outside staircase that is larger. The kitchen, living room, and a half bath are on the upper level. The grill is right off the kitchen. The upper level does not have AC but it has numerous screened doors and fans. We were fine in June. The kitchen is well equipped but it does not have a dishwasher. The lack of a dishwasher is the only thing I didn't like, because I don't like to wash dishes on vacation. Other villas, especially the sister villa Ocean Pearl are very close so this is not a villa if you want total privacy. It is VERY close to town which us nice. And taxis will pick up/drop off at this location. The occupants of Ocean Pearl used taxis at night so they didn't have to drive during Carnival. Parking for 2 cars would be tight but it is possible. The view is limited to Great Cruz so you do not have the big ocean views. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions . Thank you very much, that is very helpful. We really want great views, plus we might be 2 couples, so I might have to re-think this villa. If it does just end up being my husband and I, we might still try it out. I just really like the price of this villa and was hoping it would work.
