Here and in Heaven- kudos to Rachel!
Here and in Heaven- kudos to Rachel!
After a 2 hour flight delay ( which felt like 10 traveling with a 3.5 year old)- it was so nice to be met with a smiling Rachel- we made the 5pm ferry with half a minute to spare. Extra bonus none of the ridiculously grumpy folks from our flight made the ferry. We were settled in enjoying cocktails by the time we should have arrived on the later ferry! Now the only decisions I will be making for the next 9 days will be which flip flops to wear and which beach to go to! Must dos for this trip- Sogos, Candies, Spyglass happy hour, Maho, Gibney, and having family photos taken. Feeling blessed and grateful!

I have to echo pipergal's comments about how great Rachel is. We arrived almost five hours late on Christmas Eve. Our flight had turned around and returned to Atlanta after over an hour in the air. We arrived a little after 7, had our bags in 15 minutes or so and then hopped into Rachel's beautiful (and really comfortable)Expedition, making it just in time for the 8PM Red Hook ferry with only minutes to spare. Can't imagine how much more frustrated, (and exhausted) we'd have been if she hadn't been there and we'd missed that boat. We haven't used Rachel every time we arrived in the past, but after this trip we just might have to!

Have fun! We take our son to the Westin at least once to see the parrots and play on the playground. His first trip was at age 2 and second was at age 4. I hope you get a fabulous family photo!
