STJ family looking for help
Even if you don't know Mike McDermott personally, you probably "met" him many times during his time working for The Beach Bar, Banana Deck and other local establishments. His sister, Jessie McDermott Daigneault has been a STJ resident for many, many years.
Mike, now living in the San Francisco area, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia and since he had only been at his restaurant job for 6 weeks, has no insurance. His friends and family have set up a link to help pay his mounting medical expenses.
I thought I would post the link here in case any one wants to help. Mike is only 31 years old and he is quite grateful for the love and support everyone on STJ has shown him during this new and frightening struggle. Thank you for reading, here is the link:
