Castaway's Draft Beer?

Post by RickG »

I saw in the USVI Beer Club facebook page that Castaway's added draught beer. Has anyone been in there lately? I'd love to hear how that's working out.

Cheers, Rick

It's going well. It's Rouge Brewery beer and ale from Oregon. Instead of shipping in heavy kegs it comes in plastic balls. The Pie Whole in St. Thomas has been doing it since they opened.

Cool. Great to have another good beer outlet on STJ. We were at Pie Whole last week and they do a good job with their products.

The pub kegs/plastic kegs have had some drama in the last year. There have been some failures, injuries and one death attributed to them. You have to be very careful not to pressurize them over 15 psi. We won't go near them at my brewery.
