The review said that the pool at Anole is heated now.. that BETTER be the case!

Anole fever

Post by Bill in Va »

MEOW meow...Yep it is still gonna happen on the 11th, unless Sandie changes. We can still meet/greet/enjoy while most of the folks are on island. The 11th would have been our son's 40th birthday. We are going to Sandy Cay where some of his ashes are and do our thing and then go to the Soggy Dollar Bar and then back. It would be great to have a bunch of us on the boat or boats. The plan would be to meet back at our villa, Southern Cross, and enjoy the evening with a party to celebrate his life and share some great food and drink on us. His favorite champagne was Moet. He was the one who brought us down to St John back 1991 while he was chefing on St Thomas. I remember so vividly the moment I first saw St John........it made my soul smile.........tuff typing right now.....I have a great video of our first visit. Can't watch it too often but one can just imagine....sorry to end but I can't see..God bless..Bill

e-tissue coming your way. I'm so sorry. In know hard it is to lose someone you love so dearly. It's great that you are going to celebrate his life. So sorry that we won't be able to make it. Being a Saggitarius myself it's nice to celebrate the spirit of another Sag. We are an interesting bunch!

The way I see it, by introducing you the STJ and the VI your dear son gave you the gift that keeps on giving.

Hopefully we can find a time and place to meet up.

HUGE Cyber Hug and warm fuzzies!

Bill,

That is a very special thing to do, I lost my sister at the age of 40 4 years ago. I am turning 40 this June. I'm taking her two daughters with me in Dec. Karen loved the beach, before she died I took her to the Bahamas so she could see blue water. Just a sisters trip. I'm hoping her two daughters carry on the tradition of going on vacation together. You gave me an idea to do a celebration of life for her when I'm with her daughters in St. John.

We'll be there 11/25-12/9. Staying at Great Expectations for the first week and Villa Carolina second week.

We have also stayed at the Anole and the veiw is unbelievable. The Villa also had everything needed as far as paper goods and cleaners. We stayed there in May and the pool was very cool. Management said the heater was working, but didn't feel like it to us.

We prefer Dec over May. May was very rainy. Dec is still warm and the water is still warm enough to swim in. Don't tell anyone that the first week in December is such a great time - still low season for rates, everything is open, it's after hurricane season......

Now I want to be on that flight with the rest of you!!! That would be too much fun!

Hey BILL, I'll never forget your buddy Chuck snoring in the back of the plane! When we started unloading in STT they opened up the back door he had to wake up fast! I laugh everytime I think about him, I see that look on his face. (Thought he'd be last off, not first) :P :P See ya soon!

American Airlines
IAD - SJU 8:15 am Flight 1151
SJU - STT 1:30 pm Flight 1437

Only 197 days and 13 hours (roughly) to go-- but who's counting?

Was it you who suggested that we look into sharing a private water taxi-- I have to check my PM folder to see who that was...

Are we there yet??

We be flying together

Post by Bill in Va »

Gromit. We are on the same plane. It was me talking about the water taxi. I think the cost is $20 per person. We can take the ferry and save the difference for Painkillers!....At the airport you will notice two folks with BIG smiles at the gate. That would be me and my bride...can't wait to meet ya..God bless..Bill

Gromit and Bill,

We are on your flight as well to San Juan and the 1:30 to St. Thomas. We are staying one night at the Best Western and then going over on Sunday to St. John. We will look for you all at the gate!

Looks like a plane party to me sports fans..

Post by Bill in Va »

Can I see a plane party in the Dec time frame? Yep forumites this is gonna be a mile high Vaginya invasion. The Gromit/DC Photo/Bill in Va teams are staging as we speak. There will be a photo op at Dulles by all the news services. Please be aware I will not be wearing any makeup. Well maybe some...my tan line area may be tender. Hate it when that happens. Jorge won't share his shaveing secrets with me. Well thats it for tonight here at the tree house. Any other forumites who are gonna be on the flight please use the secret contact path known only to Anthony......God bless...Bill
