Jeep Rental for Day After Thanksgiving - Reservation Req'd?
I think I already know the answer to this question....We're cruising into St. Thomas the day after Thanksgiving this year and will be spending the day in St. John. I'm thinking we should make a jeep reservation ASAP for that day (Fri, 11/29). For those of you that really know the island better than we do what do you say?
Thanks for your input

I don't think anyone will rent for a day especially Thanksgiving week - usually they just ask you come to the office and check.
Personally I would skip the car rental but let me ask what time you arrive and depart - for example if your ship docks at 8am it will probably be the 10am ferry from Red Hook (slim chance for the 9am) so 10:30 before you are at the car rental office - probably 11am before you get the car and if your ship departs at 5:30 pm you would need to be on the ship by 5pm so no later than the 3 pm ferry thus returning the car at 2:30pm - 3.5 hours does not seem like a lot of time to "tour" St John - just something to think about

Hi Pia, I agree we'd probably only have 3.5 hours but that would probably be enough time for what we want to do. We've been lucky before and made the 9am ferry when doing it all on our own. We're thinking about using one of the cruise ship's excursions which offers a chartered ferry that leaves from the cruise ship dock. We'd arrive in Cruz Bay around 11am and depart around 3:30.
Our goal is to spend about an hour at a beach then have lunch maybe at Chateaux de Bordeaux if it's open.
I called Cool Breeze and they told me just to stop in and they should have a jeep available. Hopefully that would be the case.
