Wow that is cool - but they just dug them up and put them somewhere? In Italy they would have called in a commission, the archaeologists, etc!

That is amazing that something that large has been sitting under the sand, undetected for so many years in a location that is frequented by so many.

Very cool!

Arriving in the VI on vacation, its easy to overlook that fact that, centuries ago, the Caribbean islands were the subject of intense struggles among the European nations (not to mention independent operators (aka "pirates".))

I've occasionally looked at that cannon mounted adjacent to the STJ 'taxi stand', wondering what stories it could tell. It now has three brothers.

Just a musing on my part. Back to your rum! Argh!!
