Some changes to the forum this morning -

This morning I made some subtle (hopefully!) changes to the sharing and following options on the forums. Across the top of the page you will see new, larger follow icons for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and the forum RSS feed.

Also, when you are in a post, in the right column where you see the user info, there are now sharing options - so if the post is something you like and want to post to FB, Twitter, email - etc. you can click the little icons and do so easily (this makes it very easy to post images to Pinterest too for instance).

I hope these changes are a positive and make sharing the forum easier -

PS - also wanted to mention that the Coppermine photo gallery is off line and the links to that have been removed from the site. We are looking into the issue, but I am encouraging users to submit photos to our Tumblr blog http://vionline.tumblr.com - this is a fun and easy way to share photos, and you can do it from on island, etc. as long as you have the Tumblr app on your phone.

My "Follow us:" has nothing following.
And I can not "share this post " yet!

I see the follow us icons on top but not in the posts

I just logged in with IE and I can see the icons both above and in the posts.

Okay. I can see with Safari, not with Firefox. Logged out and back in with each.

So I guess FireFox is the dog in the house? I will check with my Mac FF - that browser is not recommended BTW!

On the PC - with windows? Correct? I am thinking it may be intermittent - a conflict with one of the silly ads...

BTW, after reading this post I thought - oh maybe I should look at joining Tumblr. So I go there and it tells me I my email address is already in use. Really? I can honestly say I have never looked at Tumblr in my life, to my knowledge. Humf!

Not even going to try and figure that one out. More social media is not for me!

Well if it said that for me I would be really curious... are you sure???
I must admit that I have this flow going on my iPhone - ALL my photos on Everpix so I can browse them anywhere, save what I want to post to my phone, post those to Instagram, and that automatically gets posted into Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook. I was just doing this for fun with my Florence pics, but it started to bring a lot of traffic and followers to my Florence websites and blogs - and I never shared many of my pics here so it just seems like an easy way, and you can do it from anywhere...

But yes - it does get to be a lot of things to manage! Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instragram and Pinterest - those to me are the big winners in this thing (outside of the ones that mostly focus on fashion and are pretty huge too!).
