Trip report Part 1 6/26-7/1

6 of us (myself, DH, MIL, FIL and a good friend and her daughter with 2 more meeting us at the airport in STT as they came from Baltimore.
Drove to Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday 6/25 and checked in to the Holiday Inn airport location and stayed the night as we had to be at the airport by 10:00am
Next day Monday 6/26 was travel day

We arranged to leave the car there for the week (35.00 per week) and took the shuttle to airport. We arrived so excited only to be told our flight was delayed until 3:00pm

Good ole Spirit Airlines

) Went to Chili's and had a early lunch and just hung out waiting. Finally boarded
2.5 hours later we arrived in STT where are other family was waiting for us as their flight was on time

Our luggage came out the fastest I had ever experienced before (10Min) and we all went outside to find Rachael. She drove like crazy to get us to the RH ferry so we could make the 6:00pm to Cruz Bay. Well we made it with 2 minutes to spare

Once we got there we met our villa rep from Destination STJ to take us to pick up the jeep's and to follow him to Cocotier up in Virgin Grande Estates.

: Our View

Once we got settled we realized we had no food, so 4 of us went to starfish and got what we could to satisfy all our belly's. After we all ate it was bedtime for everyone as it was now 12:00am.

You know she went out of her way for us. My girlfriend left a plastic shopping bag in the van that contained her extra contacts and she made sure we got It the next day. She wanted to put it on the 11:00am ferry to no avail as the ferry operater wouldn't be responsible for it so she gave it to one of the Westin workers coming over on the employee ferry and we got it!!!

That was awesome that she found someone to help out! Glad you got the contact bag!

We might miss her in December. I actually think we're going to rent a car in St Thomas and bring it over because we have 6 of us. I figured we'd save all the taxi money and pay for a day of car rental.

I tried to post a picture in the off-topic area and got and error. Maybe you can tell an Ole Dog how to do it again.

Hey how are you?
When you go to start a new topic go to the bottom of the box and you will see upload attachment, then under that a browse will come up.It will take you to your pictures and then open the one you want, then hit Add the file. it will then tell you Place inline

I wrote the 2nd part but it wouldn't let me post the house pictures for some reason. I will do that later I guess. Tell Steph hey for me
