ideas for july 4th?

Post by Nebs »

Hi,

Thursday, July 4th will be our first full day on st. john. We are not sure what to expect so we wanted to hear from anyone who stayed during this holiday in the past. Any good ideas, day or evening.

thank you!

Maybe the most interesting Parade you have seen late morning and early afternoon -- and then Fireworks at 9pm - all in Cruz Bay. With the village open all day and for dinner.

Just be aware that the north shore road will be closed for the parade. If you're out at the beaches and want to get back into town, you'll have to go up and over using Centerline Rd.

The parade is fun to watch, and the festival village is really hopping later in the evening. Get some good local food from any of the booths and just walk around taking in the vibe before the fireworks.

Can someone tell me about what time the fireworks are on the 4th? We are arriving on the 4th and I am wondering if we should plan on seeing them. If they are really late we will probably all be too tired from the travel day. Thanks!
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
