I apologize for grammatical and spelling errors in advance.
SATURDAY, MAY 5 The Day We leave for STT
We had a 6 a.m. Delta flight from Memphis to Atlanta to catch our flight to STT. And our group stayed at a Marriot Courtyard so we would be set.
The day started with a 4:10 a.m. phone call from Wontongirl. "Ya'll about ready? "
"Ummmm, " I responded. "What time is it? "
"You have 10 minutes before we leave for the airport, " she said.
She could tell we were asleep, but helped light a fire under us.
Apparently, Brad and I disregarded our alarm clock and jumped out of bed like crazy fools. No shower for me or make-up. As we were throwing clothes and toiletries back into our suitcases, I said, "Man, I'm going to have the greasiest hair today! "

We made it to the airport and all worked out well. The flight made it to ATL and we caught our connecting flight to STT.
The STT flight was a little late leaving ATL so we were pretty sure we'd miss the Jorge and Barbara DBFT at the airport. But when we landed at STT, I saw two US Airways flights that had recently arrived. Wontongirl and I both knew they were on one of those flights and we see them in the baggage claim area.
Walking out, we grabbed our punch, walked around the corner, saw Eddie from Wheatley's Taxi with his sign with Wontongirl's name, made a bee-line for the bagagge claim to find... "Oh, wait there's a bar. " Our friend Jeff waited patiently in line for drinks and Wontongirl found Jorge and his group. It was like a family reunion. Everyone received their luggage and we were ready.

Jorge's group were on their way to STJ. Our group was staying on STT for the night. Eddie with Wheatley's Taxi is wonderful. He was waiting for us and helped us with our luggage. Getting in his air-conditioned van was a relief.
As I had mentioned earlier, our first night is in STT. There is a thread already regarding our experience at Secret Harbour, where our first night had been planned, but we all stayed at Sugar Bay instead. It was nice and we were all happy to have accommodations. We visited their beach and had some beverages.
That evening, we took a taxi to dinner at Duffy's Love Shack in STT. The drinks are served in all kinds of interesting containers (most you can keep).

We received plastic floral necklaces (Billy, there is a name for those. What is it?) and stickers. The appetizers were delicious. Food Porn.

(I'll preface this report now regarding food-I get hungry and need to eat about every 4 hours when I'm awake. With beverages involved, I may have taken more than my fair share of appetizers at every meal. Savage.) Duffy's had a fun party atmosphere and it wasn't very crowded.
There is a casino off of Sugar Bay's lobby. Slot machines only. Brad and I stayed up a little longer when we returned to the hotel and tried our luck. I won about $50 and we called it a night.
SUNDAY, MAY 6 On Our Way to STJ!
Eddie from Wheatley's picked us up from Sugar Bay and took us and our luggage to Red Hook Ferry. Wontongirl's husband bought our tickets, our luggage was handled somehow and Wontongirl purchased some painkillers at the little drink hut for our ferry ride. We loved the ride. Wontongirl and her husband are experienced STJ visitors and made everything look so effortless. Wontongirl had arranged everything.
On STJ, we get our luggage, Wontongirl's husband heads to Courtesy Car Rental for our Montero and Paco is waiting for us from Carefree Getaways to take us to our villa. We waived at the St. John Spice Webcam (10:30 ish).
Our villa, L'Esprit de la Vie, was being cleaned so we dumped our luggage, Paco gave us a quick tour and we headed to Miss Lucy's for brunch. California Girl, Rick and their sweet friend Sharon had just finished eating when we arrived. We were so happy to see them. Again, meeting Forumites was like a family reunion. Visited for a bit and they left to see the sites. We sat at a table. Every table there has a great view. We ordered brunch. I ordered a seafood omelet and it was great. Don't recall what everyone else had, but I believe it was all good. At one point, the goats were released. Our server was upset that the goats were jumping on us, but we didn't mind.
We meandered our way to Mongoose Junction where we shopped. As we were leaving to grocery shop, Jorges group arrived. Wontongirl and I sent our men to grocery shop and we stayed to visit at the bar. Those stools are very tall. I'm sure I owe money to someone or a big thank you.
After groceries, our group came back to get us. We got to the villa and enjoyed the pool. We had a great view of Ditliff Point and Roundeveous. Wontongirl had Christy's deliver some provisionings and it was great. Again, I believe I had more than my fair share of it. We poured the rest of the Jack's Rum Punch into our Bags2Go and headed to the Beach Bar. Everyone was there! I will neither confirm or deny any of my actions. I think I talked a lot.
MONDAY, MAY 7, 2007 DBFT at Honeymoon Beach
Our friend Jeff made a great breakfast at the villa. We packed our beach bags and soft-side coolers and off we go. Stopped at Pine Peace for ice. Stopped at Deli Grotto for sandwiches to eat later on the beach. Parked at Caneel to get to Honeymoon and walked and walked. We all made a pact that every beverage would be consumed before we left the beach. Jorge mentioned in his report he could hear us cussing from a mile away. He and Barbara came to our rescue and helped us carry our load. Their whole group was there, plus Becky and NascarFan59; Dr. Curly and Kathy; and Pia and L. Again, it was like a family reunion, but better.
Honeymoon Beach is beautiful.

I hadn't been snorkeling in a few years, so Barbara helped me. How sweet is this? She held my hand and we both snorkeled to Pia's boat. I took some pictures of the fish and we snorkeled back. Thank you, Barbara. That is one of the nicest things anyone has done for me.
The Deli Grotto sandwiches were wonderful.
It was a great day at the beach. I think I talked a lot.
Dinner was at Rhumb Lines that evening and it was delicious. Food Porn.
