Guess who saw an Eagle Ray today?

This guy!!!!

Weird overcast, windy day, but Waterlemon was great...hit the super fecta...saw an eel, flounder, barracuda, nurse shark, lobster, turtle and the piece de resisantance, the Eagle Ray...big boy, too, so graceful, just swimming around the ocean floor like he owned the place.

After six trips, I'm finally in the club...my 8 year old's reaction, "yeah, I guess that was cool, I liked the shark."
It’s not about yesterday or tomorrow...It’s about today, for come what may – Sun, rain, or hurricane – we've only time for a smile, and none for sorrow

The pics of the valley look like green velvet, and the flamboyant tree is just beautiful, I would take a hazy day on STJ anytime, looks like you and the family are having a great vacation. :)

We saw one there today too!

Also saw the biggest hermit crab ever!

We connected with Islandjo and her family and snorkeled out to the cay, then had a picnic lunch on top of the hill at the ruins. Nice to meet Jo and family, great bunch of people!

It turned out to be an Awesome Day...the Sahara Dust may have helped keep the long hike cooler...think positive!

Our photos and short video of the Spotted Eagle Ray will be posted soon for everyone to see! :) :)

Jim, we enjoyed meeting you and your family and thank you again for sharing the special lunch spot with us. It is beautiful up there! Enjoy the next couple of days and safe travels!

We almost missed this one but we got a tip off from another snorkeler, and turned back to see it, the kids were psyched to see it, I've made three trips to Waterlemon and seen an SER 2/3 trips, pretty good odds...I'm sure you'll see one soon!
