which ferry?

Flying out on Saturday afternoon at 2:35 carryon only. Which ferry to Red Hook.....10 or11?

I would take the 10. Carryon only doesn't save you as much time on the way home as it does on the way down. You still have to clear customs and immigration in addition to the usual security. In my personal experience traveling home on Saturdays, the major backups have usually been to get into the customs area, not to get to the gate agents to get bag check tags (although I have experienced craziness there too in on season).

And hey, why are you thinking about this now? It's only Thursday! Get out there and have fun! 8)

I agree. Take the earlier ferry. When we were there in May, it took nearly two hours from the time we arrived at the airport until we were in the gate area (also traveled on a Saturday. And also agree, carry-on really doesn't save you that much time. Even if the lines are shorter, wouldn't you rather be an hour early than 5 minutes late for your flight?
