Hi Bill
I have never seen anyone use travelers cheques. Not saying they don't but I have never seen any in the last 5 years.

There are several ATMs on the island. The most centrally located one is at first Bank about a block from the ferry terminal. On the corner across from the Lutheran Church, Joes, and Connections. Keep in mind, you will pay a fee each and every time you use the ATM. There are also ATMs in stores and at Mongoose Junction. Be sure you read the fee structure before using any ATM.
Leap, and the net will appear.

ATM'S also at the Westin lobby and lobby outside of Starfish Market. I find these two more dependable and "safer".

We're still "old fashioned" and use travelers checks. However, we can't get them for free any more like the old days - I think we paid 1% fee. Not everyone accepts them any more, especially small businesses, but most restaurants do, and Starfish did in 2011 when we were there.
