Live Music
Live Music
We're back from almost 2 weeks on STJ, but that pesky job and other real-life stuff has gotten in the way of doing my trip report. I had asked about live music before we went and someone asked me to post info when I returned. For the time period we were there (Apr 23 - May 4), several places had live music on various nights. I recommend calling or stopping by to see who has what kind of music where.
Aqua Bistro had pan (steel drum) music on Tues nite. They also had music on Friday night and either Sat or Sun afternoon.
Shipwreck - We ate there on a Thurs nite (great food and drinks) and enjoyed the jazz band that was playing.
Westin beach cafe - they had music several nights, including steel drum on either Sat or Sun afternoon. Dress is casual.
Island Blues had music some evenings - heard it when driving by.
Beach Bar had rock music one night - we were eating at Stone Terrace and could hear it.
Cinnamon Beach restaurant - they had music on a Weds night. Looked like a nice place to hang out and hear music, but I heard the food is not very good.
It seemed that you could find live music somewhere on the island on many nights and weekend afternoons - you just had to check around. The schedule is probably different, depending upon when you are there.
We never made it to any of the music events during the day. It would be a nice way to spend an afternoon, but we had quite a bit of rain during our trip, so when the sun was out, we were at the beach and in the water snorkeling.

T'ree Lizards is the name. My family likes the place, but it is slooooow. Honestly, my Mother was trying to get us to eat there in November. She likes the chickens running around.flip-flop wrote:Cinnamon Beach Restaurant? Am I totally clueless or is this new? Or is it so bad it never gets a mention?
