Water Trucks

Post by BillVT »

There is nothing that will put you in closer touch with your preferred deity quicker than meeting a barreling water truck coming around a tight curve. If you have time to think of it.

We had a run in with a water truck on STJ. It's very scary. I felt like it was going to roll over on us.

That is scary! So is heading into a switch-back and seeing another Jeep coming down the switch-back.....in your lane! We actually heard the people in that Jeep yelling at the driver!

We had one behind us on North Shore Rd. Oh Boy!!!! We have never drove that road so fast. I felt like he pushed us the entire way to Cinnamon. The cement trucks are scary too. I wonder how much of a presence the DOT has in the VI's...

I'm always in awe of how those guys and the other truck drivers can maneuver those trucks on STJ roads

We have never rented a vehicle in 5 trips for this very reason. We do a lot of walking and hitching into town and take taxis back. You meet so many great people hitching.
