4 night villa rental - next April

Post by SuefromMA »

Are there are any "reasonably priced" villas that will rent for just 4 nights? Specifically, at the end of April, 2014. I know that "most" have a 5 night minimum. (Would prefer not to be in Coral Bay for that short a stay. Like to go into "town" at night.)

We are already "looking ahead" to next year and really enjoy splitting up our time between Virgin Gorda and St. John. This year we are doing a 6 night Virgin Gorda/5 night St. John split. Not sure yet if we will keep that split the same or go 7/4.

Wicked need more vacation time.....!!

Thanks for any suggestions!

:D wow, already looking for next year! Next year Easter is very late, just take that into consideration. It might affect minimum number of nights.

I have no idea about villas. Sorry!

See you soon :D

Wow - you are right. Easter is late.

Looks like we will be having a few nights of going to sleep being serenaded by the Carnival Music filling the air from down the street.

Sounds great!

Sue, St. John's Carnival is in July. That would be quite a long stay for you! :D The April Carnival is on St. Thomas.

What about a condo in or near town? Gallows, Lavender Hill, Cruz Views, Grande Bay etc. I can only speak for Gallows but they typically offer a 10-15% discount in April and don't have a minimum stay requirement. At any of those you could walk to town for dinner and/or to grab a taxi to the beach.

Shoemak38 - yes, very nice with 4 days off :D

Becky, I think Sue meant Easter Carnival on Virgin Gorda. That's on Easter Day.

Yes Sue, I need a ticker. I'm actually going to STJ in November, so I need to fix a signature ticker. And thanks, I'd like a blue chair  .

The only good thing with traveling at Easter is that you need less vacation days. But I could live without the crowds and higher fares on flights etc.

"Yes", Becky - I would need to have pretty good ears to hear the St. Thomas Carnival. But, Maggy was right - I was referring to the Easter Carnival held on Virgin Gorda.

Thanks for the tips, though. Have often been curious about Cruz Views and Lavender Hills. Though, we always rent a Jeep - so, "walking access to town" isn't a must. We took a tour of Gallows last year. Oh my goodness - they are lovely! Would need to discount more than 10 -15% for us to be able to justify the cost for just a few short days. Particularly when we will be "out and about" most of the time. Though "someday" we sure would like to stay there.

Always love staying at Estate Lindholm on St. John. So, that is our "go to" place, if nothing else strikes our fancy (or our wallet). It is so hard to find that proper balance of time between islands when they each offer their own wonders.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

That makes more sense! My mistake.

One more thought: Have you looked at Star Villas? Same general area as Gallows but much less expensive. There's a three-night minimum for your dates:

Grande Bay might be an option!
