Maho glass

Post by psufan »

Does anyone know if there are plans to move the glassblowing studio and glass/art shop when the Maho camp closes. It has become a tradition to purchase some souvenirs while we are visiting. We have a nice collection and have also given some pieces as gifts.

I adore the glass shop at Maho Bay and have been wondering the same thing. I have a vague recollection of hearing that it was being moved to Concordia, but I don't know for sure.

I was wondering the same thing. But, some glass pieces from the Maho studio are for sale in the Friends of the Park store in Mongoose Junction. I just picked two up for myself :D

I sent an email to the Maho Camps email address. I will follow-up if I get a response. I knew there were items for sale at the Friends of the Park store but half the fun was actually going to the store in the camp. We usually combined it with a meal at the restaurant. We have met the nicest people working there both in the store and at the restaurant.

Here is the response I received from the Maho Camp regarding the glass studio. Sure hope they are able to make it work.

"It is our hope to continue the glass studio elsewhere on island, and we are still working on finding the right space. While we don't have a spot yet, it is our hope to in the very near future."
