Good Friday and Alcohol
Good Friday and Alcohol
Does that law apply to the BVIs? We were thinking of taking a boat trip on Friday. Thanks!!

No alcohol in bars or stores until I think 4pm (or 6 pm) in the BVI's. We were unaware of that rule two years ago, but got informed about it while lunching in Virgin Gorda. Somehow my husband got a beer anyway (served in a plastic cup iso of a bottle). That might have been an exception.

The police came around yesterday with a printed version of the law which says no distilled spirits can be served between 9am and 4pm. Get your fill for breakfast or settle for beer or wine. Hope you all like sangria!

Oh my, oh dear. Happy Hour at 4 pm is going to be extra HAPPY today!
Happy Easter weekend everyone.

My past experience is you couldn't buy beer or wine during those hours either, at the Westin, St. Thomas airport, Red Hook ferry bldg., Cruz Bay bars, etc. Maybe to be on the safeside. I know the law says distilled liquors. Those of you on island, your mission is to report your findings. Very curious. I'll be checking the Beach Bar Webcam looking for beers. lol......

Okay, we all survived the no booze Friday but I think the power of all of you on this forum should get together and complain to the VI government and get the law abolished. How about seperating church and state!

We went to the Willy T yesterday and they were serving. The rules don't apply to them I guess
