First -timer to USVI

Post by Coop37 »

Hi guys. I'm staying at Point Pleasant from 6/1-6/7. I'm a single guy coming by myself. I like playing things by ear but don't want everything to be booked up when I get there. I may try scuba diving lessons, a kayak trip, windsurfing lessons, etc. Am I safe not reserving stuff now and just figuring it out when I get there? Thanks.

I don't think you will have any problem with your activities. Point Pleasant is nice but it is really spread out and all over a mountain side. If you are high up the mountain, it is tough getting back and forth to your room, hpe you are in shape. It also pays to have a good sense of direction, on dark nights it is tough to find your room especially if it is high on the mountain.

June is pretty quiet. We stayed at Point Pleasant a few years ago. Make sure you walk over to Coki Beach one day when there are no or few cruise ships in town. It'll be nice and quiet then and you can feed the fish. Pretty cool! Jumbies (I think that was the name of down on the water), their restaurant, has pretty good food too.
If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul.
