Villa help

Post by CHM »

My sister and I are taking our niece to St. John for her high school graduation gift. We need a villa with two bedrooms or one bedroom and a loft, AC in bedroom and we would like a pool or hot tub. Villa does not need to be fancy, but definitely safe for girls only trip. We prefer Cruz Bay, but we are open to Coral Bay as well. Thanks in advance!

If you prefer a villa and are looking for something very affordable - take a look at Rosebay and Jasmine. Not walking distance to Cruz Bay, but close. Not upscale, but very cute. One has a pool and the other has a hot tub.

For inexpensive and fun I would recommend Kis Ora, Meridien, arco Iris or Viewtiful, all from privatehomesvi.com. If Island Time thruCaribbeanvilla.com is available, that might fit the bill for you. Thinking small villa rather than condo would be nicer for a first time visit. This way you will probably get the full St John experience.

Cruz Views also has some 1bedroom units with a loft. They are close to Cruz Bay.

Thank you for all the comments. My sister and I have been to STJ numerous times but this is the first time for our niece (our other sisters' child). We promised to take her anywhere she chose for graduation and she chose St. John. Yay! The only 2 bedroom villa we have rented is Bongo Bongo, and while we LOVE this villa it is a little out of our price range as We had already planned an upscale trip to STJ for May for my husband's 40th. We will be going back later in the Summer with our niece. :D

Is Jasmine a safe villa for us? I have never worried about safety, but I have also never been without my husband or a large group. Thanks again.

We have stayed at Hawksbill twice which is directly above Jasmine and looks down upon it. We felt very safe. There are three villas in close proximity, And also Ristaba is next door to Hawksbill. You should have no problem. It is a great area for easy driving to grocery stores and town. Have a wonderful trip.
