Favorite place for conch fritters ?
A few years ago was our first experience with fritters when our nephew took us to the island and we stopped at Woody's for drinks. We haven't stopped at Woody's the last 2 trips, what is your favorite place to order from? Maybe they tasted so good at Woody's because we had several well drinks prior to ordering ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

We love the conch fritters at Vie's Snack Shack!
Re: Favorite place for conch fritters ?
Conch Fritters on STJ is a subject that we have researched in great detail. Taste testing at multiple locations and rating fritters is about as ambitious as we care to get while chillin on the rock. For location, Miss Lucy's. The fritters there are good but not great, but just sitting by the water with a drink and an order of fritters is well worth the trip. Definitely try the Fish Ruben while you are there. Aqua Bistro has very good fritters. But for our money Ship Wreck Landing is the winner.
One thing about it you can't go wrong chasing the perfect fritter on STJ. Have fun. Let us know if you find any outstanding fritters. We're back in May and fritters will be on the must do list.

We vote Shipwreck Landing

Big fan of Vie's Snack Shack...larger than the typical conch fritter you find most other places and she lightly fries them so they're not hard like hockey pucks.
Also agree on Shipwreck's version...cooked really well and I love that hot sauce they have there to put on them.
If you're out and about in the BVI's...the Willy T floating bistro next to Norman Island has some really good ones too.

Funny how different everyone's opinion on this is! I do not really care for the Shipwreck Landing fritters. My vote goes to Aqua Bistro, without a doubt.

I like the conch fritters at Miss Lucy's. We had some nice crab and conch fritters at Fatty Crab last trip.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

We like the fritters (and everything we've tried) at Spyglass (used to be The Balcony). We love to eat a late lunch there and enjoy the view of the water and the boats coming and going. Follow that up with a shopping trip to St John Spice and Freebird, and you have a great day on St John.

Well, you have to think, How much conch is in the fritters, how done are they? so over done they are dry..The best palce i have had was in the BVI at cooper island ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
