We're baaaack!!
Hello Forum! We are back... booooo! I will post a trip report with pix later on. I have about 700+ pictures to go through and edit. Got some really nice underwater shots, but they need Photoshopping before I will post them. Yes, the skeeters were just awful, we must have at least 50 bites each....I even have 3 in my hair!! But I'd take the skeeters on STJ any day over the grey and chilly morning I have today in Calif. I have some great stuff to tell y'all, including a playful dolphin experience at Waterlemon!! Some great pix there! A big thank you goes out to Scubagirl and her hubby Keith for an absoulutely PERFECT day on their catamaran at Leinster/Waterlemon.
And a HUGE thank you to everyone on the forum for providing me with all the tips and information that made our trip completely awesome!

Hi California Girl... welcome home. Can't wait to read your trip report!!
It's gray in Carlsbad too right now. But it has been really nice this past week. Hubby is flying (our private airplane) down from San Jose as we speak... I hope it clears up by the time he gets down this way!! It's probably just the usual marine layer by the beach, and fine a few miles inland... will hopefully burn off.
I'll be up in your neck of the woods sometime in the next couple of weeks... need to take my daughter to Rainbow Sandals.
... looking forward to the pics and trip report. 5 weeks left for us!!

Glad you had a good trip! So jealous about the encounter with the dolphin at Waterlemon. We saw Splash with her young offspring last June in Francis (we were in an Ocean Runner boat and she made a quick appearance but then ushered her baby to leave pretty quickly after showing up). Can't wait for your report!
If you don't take risks, you'll have a wasted soul.

REALLY! That's awesome!California Girl wrote:Yep! We were on the 9:15 to Charlotte Amalie. I guess I was totally entertaining writing my name in the sand, as when I was done, some people on the dock said, "California Girl!" and cheered.. ha ha!
It's possible that they cheered because they were California Girls themselves, but somehow I doubt it.
Whoever that was who cheered, you could write a report if you read this, even if you're lurkers.

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. It was 4 girls, I think. It made me laugh 'cause I suspected lurkers, but it was hot and crowded and I didn't recognize them when I got back up on the dock.StJohnRuth wrote:REALLY! That's awesome!
