Beach Bar Gathering - Sunday, Feb. 24

Hey all you folks running the 8 Tuff or visiting that week! Let's gather at the Beach Bar on Sunday the 24th! How about we meet on the beach by that tree with the big limb that sticks out sort of horizontal to the left of the stairs.

Here's a picture of Denny and I (Nancy). If you have a picture of yourself that you want to add to this thread we can all get a look at who we need to find

What is the ususal time to gather? Cheers and we'll see you all soon.

This is the chicagoans family. Picture is less than a year old, but DS is now taller than DH. We'll be doing the walk of woe on 2/24 but DD, DS and I will be running 8 Tuff (ok, sometimes walking!) and we'll all be at the finish line and Skinny's after the race.

Sorry, the picture posts so small it probably won't help recognize us! But anyway, there we are and we are SO looking forward to our trip.

My friend Mary and I will plan to be there. I don't remember how to share photos on this site, but I will be sure to meet by the tree.

I am going to attempt 8 Tuff.........!

Hey Michigancouple sounds like u have the same trip as me and my gf. We r from Michigan too and arrive on sat 23rd, also stayin at Grande bay. Maybe we will see you there

The family and I may stop by after the 8 Tuff Mile recovery party from 11-4:00. We'll be the ones with 2 rambunctious little sunburned boys!

ERL and myself plan to come to the Beach Bar on Sunday, after we leave the 8 Tuff recovery party - we hope to see/meet a bunch of you folks!

It turns out that the place where most of the forum folks find each other, on the beach next to the bar, was taken over last night by an annual dominoes tournament. While it looked like those folks were having a big time, it kind of squeezed everyone else's beach space. Leslie and I found a little table and set up by the tree closest to the Joe's Rum Hut end of the beach, where michigancouple (Nancy and Denny) found us. It was nice meeting them and sharing some stories with them. TracyfromWI and her friend Mary, once their ferry from Jost returned (later than they thought it would), found us shortly before we adjourned "the meeting".

We grabbed a bite at JJ's with Tracy and Mary, then ran into soonthebeach and some of her gang while wandering the streets of Cruz Bay afterwards.

For those of you that planned/hoped to show up, buthaving too much fun got in the way, don't feel bad - been there, done that. There's always (or should be!) next time.

It was great to meet you both! And also Tracy and Mary! We bumped into soonthebeach and her group at Joe's while waiting for pizza. Today we had a great boat day with Capt. John and kma27 and her hubby and their friends! So nice to put real faces and names together. My "imaginary friends" are no longer imaginary!
