Pictures...please

Hi everyone-

We are literally trapped here in Connecticut. We haven't seen a plow in more than 24 hours in our neighborhood. So naturally, my husband and I (and most likely my father) are all at home dreaming of our beloved St. John.

I have a favor of all of you forumites...can you post a picture to help us pass the time? A funny one, an angelic one...anything would be lovely.

(It can even be an old picture that you want to show again...)

not quite sure how to post pictures; I'm trying below by selecting "img" then inserting a picture from my hardrive in between the 2 "[img] captions that pop us.

If this doesn't work, would someone please tell me how I can post pictures?

SJL: "If this doesn't work, would someone please tell me how I can post pictures?" This had me challenged for a while as well. Just below the reply text window is "Options", with an "Upload attachment" button to its right that you can click. You provide a caption for the attachment, browse to its folder on your computer, and click "Add the file". Once it is uploaded, you can put the cursor where in your message you want to place it, and then click the "Place inline" button. That's how I do it; the image needs to be a modest size .jpg (less than 750 KB, I think), and a thumbnail will show up in your post that viewers can click to enlarge. I think that the "img" option that you referenced is if you use an online image storage application, and can provide a URL to point to your file there. In that case, I think that it shows up full-sized, without having to click on a thumbnail. Other more experienced posters may wish to chime in on these points.
