Stuck in Red Hook?

Post by ToonMann »

My wife arrives on a late flight into STT (10:20PM). Since she'll have no checked bags, she should be able to catch the last Red Hook-Cruz Bay ferry at midnight.

If she misses it, is her best option to stay at a Red Hook hotel for the night (which?) or to hire a private taxi to Cruz Bay (which?).

Thanks.

Looks like the private water taxi is $250....I guess if that isn't a big expense for you I would do that. Otherwise, you will need to find a reasonable hotel on STT. I would do that now though so you have time to do research just in case....
However, I don't think she will have a problem unless her flight is super late....
My son got in at 10:40 and made the midnight ferry no problem....

Thanks for your reply, STJChica.

Apparently there are no Red Hook accommodations within walking distance of the ferry dock. The closest ones are a short taxi ride away:

- Ritz
- Secret Harbor
- Elysian
- Cowpet
- Sapphire
- Sapphire Village
- Crystal Cove
- Wyndham Sugar Bay

Fingers crossed that my wife doesn't need this list!

Dohms does after hours trips but i suspect it isn't an on-demand service, I think you would need to reserve ahead of time.

We use dohms every time and I continue to be very pleased with their service.
