How old (in real years) are we all?
When I turned 40, we took our first group trip to St. John. Ten single folks in a villa - what a way to turn 40 - no pain there!! My darling friends sang Happy Birthday to me ... every night we were there. By the 4th night some folks at the end of the bar were saying "wasn'it it her birthday yesterday?".

[quote="SJfromNJ"]Ron, now I am begining to wonder about you. You had the correct answer to begin with. Now subtract 47 from 2007 and you will get the year I was born.
Subtracting that answer from 2007 wasn't in your "formula". I was following it exactly as written and I taught 7th & 8th graders all day.
That's enough to turn anyone's brain to mush!!
Oh well, better luck next time!
I still found the molecular weight of ice...so there! HA!

My husband (the child) is 50, I (the cradle robber) am 56.
DeeJayJay, I certainly understand where you are coming from. My mother died on Christmas Eve after fighting Alzheimer's for ten years. We put our 14 year old Sheltie down last month. He had so many things go wrong in such a short time and needed surgery. We could not put him through that when he had no quality of life left. It's a shame we treat our pets with more dignity than the health care system allows us to treat the elderly.deejayjay wrote:
in the last year, his dad died, both our kids got married and moved out of state, we did breast cancer, and yesterday my dog died (for real. It sounds like a bad country song)

Hey Susan, are you sure your husband wasn't just saying that we're immature???susan & herb wrote:My husband mentioned the other nite that he thinks that most of the people on the board are fairly young,
I will be 48 in fourteen days and I received my first birthday card today. It was from California Girl and it's a card that plays Tim McGraw's "Just To See You Smile" when you open it. I have no idea how they got him in there, but I was quite tickled. Thank you California Girl!

Okay, I try not to use the 'F" word, but it is what it is.
We went to St John for my 40th, July 16th last year.
My husband thought the liberal application of Painkillers might make it more bearable. What a great call. It didn't hurt one bit.
Greg turned 36 last December 13th. I took him to Key West because 36 is not as traumatic as 40.
