Villa search...Help

Post by philbetm »

Hi Everybody,
Well we are headed back over June 15th - 22nd. and will have 3 other adult couples with us. One of them will be Newbies. Needing to find a home for us. Hoping for some good suggestions from you all. Our max budget will be $5200 for that week. Must haves ...Air in bedrooms, as near equal bedrooms as possible and all with baths. Would like to have a pool if possible. If you have stayed in a home that would fit the bill or know of one...I would love to hear from you.

Thanks,
Sherry :D

We are pretty much open on that...have been looking from Cruz to Coral and even up on the mountain. Anything you know of will help! :) Just hoping for something with a good view. Looked at Estate Fortsberg but it is out of the budget I think and may be rented for that time as well. Just can't go over $5200.

Thanks Teresa_Rae

Hi Sherry,

I am a villa owner and advertise on this site. My villa is villa venturoso and is in a great location very close to town. It has 4 bedrooms each with a bathroom and all have a/c. It is perfect for 4 couples and is $4300 for the 7 nights. I do have availability Jun 16 to the 23rd. If you are interested please look at my villa on this site and you can contact me at islandbrenda1@gmail.com or 410-310-7771.
Thanks so much!

Another good option would be South Shore Villa:

We stayed here a few years ago and found it spectacular! I would be happy to answer any questions you might have, just send me a pm.

Hi islandbrenda :)
The price is right and villa great...but the dates you have won't work for us. We are locked in to Sat.the 15th thru Sat the 22nd. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer and try to help.

Sherry inSC

Patr, Thanks to you also. Yes, South Shore was 1 I looked at this morning and it looks wonderful. I have heard nightmares about the road/drive up to it. Is it really that bad? We are STJ veterans and driven all over the Island never with any problems. Is the living area large enough to comfortably acommodate 8 adults ?
What about the semi-outside showers...do you feel private enough?

Thanks again,
Sherry

Yes Sherry the drive up to South Shore seems a little hairy the first couple of times. I think the road is entirely paved, if not entirely, then mostly. You will definitely need 4-wheel drive. Like most villas, it doesn't feel like a big deal by the third day or so. It sits high overlooking reef bay and the view and breezes are fabulous and well worth the drive!

The shower is private enough and there is plenty of common area for 8 folks. You will most likely spend most of your time in the outdoor living areas. There's a beautiful infinity-edge pool and lots of deck space with loads of outdoor furniture.

It is approximately a 15 minute drive from Cruz Bay.

I was going to suggest Sol Inclination, which is the last villa at the top of the mountain, just above South Shore Villa, but it's booked for your dates. The drive is absolutely nuts!

Check Aqua Blu. They may give you a better price than is listed. She did when we
were thinking about renting.
Argonauta
Casa Del Sol
Leeward
Good luck. It is hard to find the perfect place for a large group.

Hi Wanda,
Thanks....Acqua Blu is where we stayed last year. It is already booked for our dates and so is Argonauta...it was on my short list too. Leeward I think is available but the bed arrangement doesn't work for 8 adults. They have 2 of the bedrooms furnished with twins and said that they don't fit together very good. Seems like I looked at Casa Del Sol....can't remember why right now but it didn't fit the bill either. Thinking it was out of our budget. I am waiting on a call from an agency about one in Coral Bay. There is some ? about the rental price.
Thanks again,
Sherry
