Villa Soul Island

Post by islandjo2010 »

Hello Forum Friends!
I now know our summer schedule and it is time that I get serious about booking our villa for our 3rd trip to paradise...St. John! The villas that had been at the top of my list are unfortunately now booked for the time we are looking at....arrival June 13 for at least 2 weeks. Not opposed to staying on STT for a few days before if need be before we are able to check into a villa on STJ. We did that last summer when the guys got their open water scuba certification on STT.
I have come across Villa Soul Island, but there is only 1 review and not much info beyond that. Has anyone stayed there or maybe familiar with it and the Giftt Hill area?
We are looking for a villa with 3 bedrooms, A/C in bedrooms, pool and a great view! We have stayed at Luminaria in 2010 and Acqua Blu in 2012. I would like to keep the budget under $4000 for a week.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks! :)

Hi Jo,
We too are headed back again in June ( 15-22) and looking as well. Sorry I didn't get to e-mail you while we were at Acqua Blu last year. Longgg story behind that ! :( Hope you enjoyed that trip. I also had planned to try and meet Capn. Dan and Ruby last year ... but we didn't get to go out very much. Good Luck with the search !! :D

Hi Sherry!
We did have a great time and enjoyed Acqua Blu last summer! It was perfect for when our friends joined us and we had a group of 12, but more than what our family of 4 needs!
Best of luck in your villa search and maybe we will get a chance to meet this summer...you too Capn Dan and Ruby and Greyhoundmom!

Hi Jo-The beginning of October 2012 my friends and I stayed at "Plumeria" (VRBO.com #341389) on Giftt Hill. The views were exquisite, it is a 3 bedroom (3rd bedroom is a loft) the loft does not have ac but the 2 other bedrooms do. It has a nice pool (more than a dipping pool), big deck area and lovely kitchen and the driveway was super easy to access. It is worth looking at in my humble opinion. Good luck with your search, hope this helps! :)
