Finally got all our wounds healed and ducks in a row and have 2 tickets to Paradise for Rich and I for the end of January thru first week of February. Got our accommodations this afternoon. They are a little less grand than I am used to, but we usually don't travel in season and boy did I suffer from sticker shock when looking at even the " specials". We are at 30+ trips now in the last 19 years, counting my trips for business with good old "Mother Chase". Guess I shouldn't complain as I well remember not too long ago having to stay on the east end of STT
and ferry back and forth when we made our winter trips. And we will be back on island with some of our kids and grandkids
this July in the "hight rent district" ( why ever do we let THEM choose the villa?) so I am convincing myself and our wallet that a low key trip now is just the ticket.
So we will be on island for the Superbowl, a Caneel Monday night Buffet, a possible hook-up with another forumite and maybe even a trip to Jost on the ferry if the north shore swells are up. Didn't get a jacuzzi in our accommodations so we might have to creap around past Sue Brandi to warm ourselves up "Westin-style". Hope we can catch up with Ruth, Pia and Captain John too. Maybe we will get out to dinner more on this trip as we will be staying near town. Uh-oh,--- that means more shopping too!

Hi, we will be there almost exactly the same time.
We stay in the Cruz Bay area and this will be our third time on the island.
