Flight Prices Chicago or Milwaukee

We have a place booked for August of 2013. Searching for airfare already...

Just checking to see whats the best price people have paid for airfare R/T out of MKE or ORD.

Several years ago I scored two round-trip tickets from ORD for less than $500 total with Spirit. I think it was April or May. Had a short layover in Miami I think. Not a terrible experience like I hear others say; the Spirit gates in Miami were congested, restroom & restaurant lines were crazy long, WAY overcrowded! Don't know if that is still the case, it's the one and only time we've flown Spirit.

I used kayak to book a flight for next weekend out of ORD and back into MKE for half as much as it would of been to fly in and out of either. so we will drop the truck at MKE and take the train to ORD we save 1600.00 on 2 tickets this way. Never payed more then 350 out of ORD before this time it would of been 1600 a ticket last minute this time.

I have been tracking airfare since August of this year when we made the plans....It hasn't dropped below $540 yet. I was hoping to see atleast sub $500 prices! We are leaving on a Saturday and returning on a Sunday...I am sure both peak travel dates...

I will continue to track it...thanks for the replies.
