That is so funny, he did the same thing on this trip. Halfway thru my wife said OMG he's reading an instruction manuel. Maybe he has a sense of humor and enjoys messing with people. We flown on several small planes and this was the smoothest flight and landing we've ever had.

Sorry to ruin a good story, but I don't think that's an instruction manual. Every Cape Air flight I've ever been on, the pilot will pull that book out, to confirm the proper approach vector or something--have flown with them extensively, on almost all their routes.
